Exploring The New GrowTorah Garden at Hillel Torah

In this monthly feature, we showcase one of our Anafim Partners - this month features Hillel Torah.

Did you know that GrowTorah is in the midwest? Led by Head Farmer, Rabbi Michael Friedman, Hillel Torah has installed the dazzling, new Joseph Kirschner GrowTorah Educational Garden, run successful garden lessons, and is already yielding stunning produce such as picturesque radishes! We can’t wait to see what Hillel Torah grows next!

In addition to our Shorashim, GrowTorah thrives off of our relationship with our Anafim partners! As one of our Anafim partners, we advise and train school staff to run successful educational garden programs at their school. Among them is Hillel Torah, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational Jewish day school in Skokie, Illinois.

The Anafim initiative was launched with help from a Covenant Foundation Ignition Grant.
