Bringing Shul Outdoors with Ohr Hatorah in Atlanta

In this monthly feature, we showcase one of our Anafim Partners - this month features Congregation Ohr HaTorah.

Ohr HaTorah’s Programming and Youth Director, Miriam Seidman, operates their GrowTorah Garden in which educators, Adi Feen and Farmer Scott, run the garden lessons. In the garden, students learn regularly about the parsha, environmental stewardship, and appreciation for the beauty in nature. The entire Ohr HaTorah team has created a lavish garden and enriching learning environment for their students. The shul offers after-school and Shabbat programming in their GrowTorah garden. Ohr HaTorah is our only synagogue Anafim partner and we are so proud of the amazing work they are doing!

We are excited to announce that GrowTorah staff will be visiting Ohr HaTorah on January 23rd! We will be running a Tu B’Shvat festival with 10 stations - register here to save your spot!

In addition to our Shorashim, GrowTorah thrives off of our relationship with our Anafim partners! As one of our Anafim partners, we advise and train school staff to run successful educational garden programs at their school. Among them is Congregation Ohr HaTorah, Modern Orthodox synagogue and preschool.

The Anafim initiative was launched with help from a Covenant Foundation Ignition Grant.
